Sandeep Manku

Sandeep Manku is an Ontario Certified Teacher, currently teaching at the elementary level. She graduated with a Master of Teaching degree in Primary and Junior Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto in 2019, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Development Studies and Psychology from Renison University College at the University of Waterloo.  Her research interests include restorative justice and service learning pedagogy in elementary classrooms, with special focuses on marginalized students and English Language Learners. Sandeep has previously conducted research in peacebuilding education in multicultural classrooms with Dr. Parker, and delivered a professional development workshop for public school teachers on implementing restorative and dialogic pedagogies in classrooms. She also brings experience as a former Youth Worker for newcomers to Canada, immigrants, and refugees and as an English as a Second Language teacher. Sandeep is an avid member of her local and international community, volunteering with multiple organizations over the last decade.
