Restorative Justice, Peacebuilding and Constructive Conflict Dialogue in Schools

This SSHRC funded project (2019-2021) engages in consultation with elementary school teachers (Grades K-8) who are integrating restorative and peacebuilding practices in diverse classrooms in Toronto. 

Sparks of Courage and Understanding: Manitoulin and North Shore Youth Building Bridges and Combating Racism

I am currently collaborating with a faculty member from the University of Toronto to conduct an evaluative community-based research study in three Manitoulin Island and North Shore (Ontario) schools on First Nations Reserves. 

Restorative Schools: Creating a Culture of Care

I am currently working on this project with my SDS colleague, Professor Kristina Llewellyn, who is a Co-Investigator on this evaluative research study in twelve schools in the Waterloo Catholic District School Board.

Refugees and Canada: Narratives of Hope and Resilience

This project is focused on a book project that documents personal narratives and experiences about the refugee experience in Canada. It includes first-person accounts of refugees, refugee activists, front-line workers in support agencies, private sponsors, civil servants, policy makers, and officials in the refugee processing system.
